I always enjoy getting mail from TDA visitors and regulars alike. Some are just simple thanks or words of encouragement, several have been mean-spirited diatribes, and then there are those that I really like with links to relevant content. So to showcase the latter, I’ll do this in reverse spaghetti western order and give you the ugly, the bad, and then the good.
The ugly comes from repeat contributor Anna, it’s a piece of news out of New York that shows that even the good guys finish last in cases of underage drinking.
Nineteen-year-old Luis Arias was trying to play peacemaker during a standoff at the El Caviar bar in Sunset Park at 3:40 a.m. when he was attacked, his friends said.NYDailyNews
Not only was Luis attacked, he was fatally stabbed.
Pam sends us the bad from Michigan, where this weekend an alcohol fueled block party run amok called Cedar Fest turned into a night of tear gas, arrests, and busted heads. Here’s a link from the news coverage, but on-the-street documentation better illustrates the utter lunacy that occurs when thousands of drunk young idiots converge.
